Lehigh Tire has been part of northeastern Pennsylvania for 50 years. Our customers count on us for excellent customer care, price and selection when it comes to retail, wholesale and commercial tire sales and service.

We offer all major tire brands for a variety of vehicles, including Cooper, Goodyear and Michelin. In addition to being a leading tire seller, we also perform all tire services, including rotation and repair, as well as many other vehicle services.

Tire prices at Lehigh Tire always include installation, computerized wheel balancing and disposal of old tires.

We are proud to be family owned and operated and have a long history of serving Greater Hazleton and Tamaqua since our company’s founding in 1960.

Lehigh Tire’s building at Broad and Vine streets in Hazleton originally served as home to another automotive center when the building first opened as Schultz’s Garage in January 1926. Cars, bikes and appliances were sold there, with tire recapping – now called retreading – performed upstairs.

On February 10, 1960, John Baran III and his wife, Mary, opened their tire and automotive service center, Lehigh Service and Supply, in the Schultz building. The business was a family partnership among the Barans, their sons and a cousin. Members of the Baran family have been partners in Lehigh Tire ever since.

The company underwent a name change in 1992 to better reflect its services and became Lehigh Tire Company Inc. During 1993, Lehigh Tire began its wholesale business under the direction of Mark Charnigo.

In 1997, Lehigh Tire expanded to serve customers in the Tamaqua area, opening a new location along Route 309 in Tamaqua. The Tamaqua location is managed by Gregg Baran.
